Improving Nutrition Absorption to Assist Management
The emulsification of ACS-Sophor® enables improved absorption of fats and nutrients into the intestine. This is expected to improve production efficiency. Furthermore, experimental results indicate that the suppression of pathogenic bacteria leads to disease prevention. Rock Chemical Products Co., Ltd. has completed notification of *products containing ACS-Sophor® as vitamin E emulsifiers for livestock and for fishieries.

Test Results
Comparative Usability Testing Against Emulsifiers from Other Companie
Compared to an emulsifier of another company (hydrolyzed lecithin), the red oil is dispersed for a longer period. Thus, the feed containing ACS-Sophor® has a higher capacity for emulsification.

Oil Extraction and Pigment Migration Testing
The emulsification capacity of ACS-Sophor® allowed us to efficiently extract oil from the feed and transfer pigments (astaxanthin) to the water layer. Adding ACS-Sophor® is thus expected to promote the absorption of more oil and pigment components.
Antibacterial Test
Experiments at an Antibiotic-free Poultry Farm
In a 2019 experiment within an antibiotic-free sector of a poultry farm, Group A was given feed with sophorolipids while Group B was given feed without sophorolipids. When comparing these groups, we observed that Group A showed more growth and had a lower pre-shipment mortality rate. Regarding cost, the addition of sophorolipids into chicken feed increased profit per coup by 23%.
